Early yesterday morning, five houses belonging to Hindu families were burned to ashes at the Saha residence in Dumritola village, Sharikotola area of Pirojpur Sadar. According to Sandhya Rani Saha, assailants inserted cloth through the window of Palash Saha’s kitchen and set it on fire, which quickly spread throughout the house.
Setting fire to homes while people are asleep is extreme brutality—condemned by all religions. Such incidents are happening one after another. @Yunus_Centre is now in charge of the government of Bangladesh—has this administration turned the country into a safe space for extremists, allowing minorities to be repeatedly targeted?

Bangladesh: Operation Devil Hunt-2, Political Repression in the Name of Order
Bangladesh’s Interim Government under Dr.Yunus has launched Operation Devil Hunt-2,
a sweeping Crackdown that has seen 8,597 Arrests since December 13, 2025.
Officially justified as a Law-and-Order drive against weapons and “Extremism,”the operation is widely viewed as a pre-election purge targeting Awami League supporters who survived earlier Crackdowns.
Driven by pressure from Yunus-aligned student groups such as the NCP and SAD,the campaign mirrors Operation Devil Hunt-1 of February 2025, which led to over 18,000 detentions,mostly linked to the AwamiLeague.
Both operations have drawn sharp condemnation from International Human Rights Organizations for Arbitrary Arrests,Political targeting, and dehumanising rhetoric, signalling a dangerous erosion of Political Freedoms in Bangladesh.
