1) The crossing into Gaza from Israel - Kerem Shalom - is and has been operating efficiently for months. Hundreds of trucks have passed inspection and wait for @UNRWA /Hamas to retrieve;
2) Not sure why you mention the border of Jordan. Are you pretending Israel doesn't exist? There is no border between Jordan and Gaza. You know that. Or. Are you suggesting that Israel is somehow obstructing the passage of aid from Jordan into the West Bank? If so particulars would be helpful. As well, I cannot help but notice that you cannot bring yourself, ever, to type or say the name of the country known as Israel. ISRAEL, Minister. Yet - you have no issue naming any other country. Why is that?;
3) The border between Gaza and Egypt at Rafah is controlled by Egypt. Again, as you are well aware, the Egyptians have been far more restrictive on movement of goods to and from the Gaza Strip than has Israel. And the Egyptian border has been so heavily fortified in recent months....it makes the Israeli border look like a joke;
4) "Unobstructed humanitarian support" is an absurd statement and you know it. Hamas controls the Gaza Strip. Whether you agree or not Canada recognizes Hamas as a terrorist organization. Hamas savagery has been on full display for months now. Everything must be inspected. Why don't you start your lecture with Egypt and let us know how that goes; and
5) You are also well aware of the fact that Hamas thugs hijack most of the aid trucks entering the Strip and hoard the goods meant for civilians. They have shot at their own people to keep them away from aid convoys. They also take aid meant for civilians and sell it at extortionate prices. Perhaps you should address some of your criticism to both UNRWA and Hamas.
In closing, Minister, it is noted that you have not uttered a single f....g syllable since October 7th expressing a scintilla of concern or recrimination for the savage Hamas attacks and their continued holding of hostages, aged 1-85. They are starving, beating and raping the hostages. Facts confirmed with evidence that would stand up in a Canadian court of law. So. Whatever you may think of Israel and Jews, Minister Hussen, you represent Canadian values as a Minister of the Crown. And the treatment of Israeli and other civilians in captivity by Hamas offends every fibre of decency and western values.

It is with heavy heart that we learned of the passing of Judy Weinstein today who is believed to have been killed by Hamas on Oct. 7. I have met with her family and they have described her as loving, kind, and compassionate. Canada mourns her loss with her family and loved ones.
