The very next day (June 28), he died after being subjected to brutal custodial torture. The post-mortem report revealed 44–50 external injuries, including cigarette burn marks. Later, video evidence also surfaced. Following public outrage and protests led by Thalapathy Vijay and others, and due to High Court pressure, the case was transferred to the CBI. The Madurai Bench of the High Court confirmed it as a clear case of custodial death. 📌Key Recent Developments (February 4–5, 2026): 👉CBI informed the court that Nikitha’s jewellery theft complaint was completely false, with no supporting evidence; the case has been closed. 👉It is confirmed that Ajith Kumar was killed due to custodial torture; 10 police officials, including a DSP, are directly involved. 👉Madurai High Court Justice S. Srimathy strongly condemned the incident, stating: “A man was beaten to death for nothing,” adding that “this should serve as a lesson to the police,” and expressing deep shock. 👉Bail petitions of arrested officers (including Anand, Raja, Prabhu, Sankaramanikandan and others) were rejected; they will remain in custody pending investigation. 👉The case has been adjourned to February 16/17. 👉The court has questioned what action will be taken against Nikitha for filing the false complaint. This tragic incident once again highlights the urgent need for police accountability and reforms in Tamil Nadu. As TVK supporters, we must raise our voices against such brutal loss of innocent lives — for real change. #JusticeForAjithKumar #TVKVijay
