I am happy to read that Minister Piccini took my words to heart. Currently fines levied against the boss due to workplace fatalities are seen as the cost of doing business.
These minimums are the start. We also need to see #WestrayLaw enforced!

A workplace fatality can never - absolutely never - be the cost of doing business.
While the vast majority of employers are doing right by their staff and customers, driving the economic prosperity of our province, those who repeatedly violate health and safety laws and endanger workers must face consequences.
Our government is cracking down on bad actors by introducing mandatory minimum fines of $500,000 for repeat offenders, to ensure every worker goes home safe.
