Day 14 of our museum advent and on display is this lovely wooden knitting sheath or stick with scrolled end. Inscription on the paper reads "let no loups down". So basically - don't drop a stitch :) #knitting #advent #knittingsticks

Love tokens & knitting sticks played a significant role in the social fabric of the Yorkshire Dales. These handmade items represented not only love & affection but also resourcefulness & craftsmanship. They are a reminder of old traditions & values. #valentinesday #knittingsticks
