Finally! our #LIPIDOGRAM2015 #study data has juts been published in @TheLancet Regional Health - Europe‼️
Together with our great collaborators from the @LiverpoolCCS we showed that #triglycerides and fasting #glucose (#TyG)-adjusted body mass index (#TyG-#BMI), TyG-adjusted #waist #circumference (TyG-#WC) demonstrated a U-shaped association with total and premature all-cause #mortality. Low and high levels of TyG-BMI and TyG-WC were associated with reduced #lifeexpectancy. Despite the relatively short follow-up period, significant associations were still observed, but longer follow-up studies are required to further explore these relationships.

In #primary #prevention #patients in GPs practice in Poland in almost 15,000 pts from #LIPIDOGRAM2015, we showed 85% patients with at least 3 #CVD RFs (HTN, DM, #dyslipidemia, obesity, smoking). This is #reallife data that shows a need for urgent action!
