In #web3, Sequencing Labs are becoming the #Oracles of genomics, using #LabNFTs 🧪and novel https://t.co/D1SVEMB21c ‘s FASTQ files notarization protocol to bring transparency & traceability to the delivery of NGS datasets on the Avalanche Blockchain. Just as Oracles in the blockchain world bring in real-world data for smart contracts, Sequencing Labs are now emerging as the Oracles of genetic data. Labs receive biosamples, sequence the DNA 🧬 or RNA, and produce digital data in the form of FASTQ files. This data, which is very much the "real-world" data of the genomics field, can then be utilized by computational systems, from bioinformatics software to machine learning algorithms. In the spirit of decentralization, we introduced #LabNFTs years ago as Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) for Sequencing and Clinical Labs.
