This exploitation creates a conflict between capital (the owners) and the working class. Karl Marx explained that this conflict grows into a long-lasting struggle. Since workers' labour time is the basis for capitalists' profits and wealth accumulation, the capitalist class strictly controls it. When working hours increase, exploitation also increases. This forces workers to fight back against their exploitation. To weaken this struggle, capitalism spreads poisonous ideas through some people. But by remembering the history of May Day, we can resist these false ideas. The unity and class consciousness of the working class are the weapons to defeat this system of exploitation. #LabourMonth #MayDay2025 இந்தியாவில் கட்டாய தொழிலாளர் முறை என்ற கொத்தடிமை முறை ( Bonded Labour ) இன்றும் ஒழிக்கப்பட்டாமல் நடைமுறையில் உள்ளது. 2030-க்குள் 1.84 கோடி கட்டாய/ கொத்தடிமை தொழிலாளர்களை மீட்டு மறுவாழ்வு அளிக்க வேண்டும் என ஒன்றிய அரசு இலக்கு நிர்ணயித்துள்ளது. இதிலிருந்தே கொத்தடிமை முறையின் தீவிரத்தை நம்மால் உணர முடியும். 1 976 இல் கொத்தடிமை தொழிலாளர் முறை ஒழிப்புச் சட்டம் கொண்டு வரப்பட்டும் ஒன்றிய மாநில அரசுகள் இச்சட்டத்தை முறையாக அமல்படுத்தாததாலும், கண்காணிக்கததாலும் இன்றும் கோடிக்கணக்கான மக்கள் கொத்தடிமையாக உள்ளனர். ஒன்றிய அரசின் இலக்கு நிறைவேற வேண்டும் என்றால் ஆண்டுக்கு சுமார் 13 லட்சம் தொழிலாளர்களை கொத்தடிமை முறையில் இருந்து மீட்க வேண்டும். ஆனால் 2023-24 நிதியாண்டில் வெறும் 468 தொழிலளர்கள் மட்டுமே மீட்கப்பட்டு மறுவாழ்வு கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த கொத்தடிமை முறையில் பெரும்பாலும் ஏற்கனவே சமூகத்தில் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட வர்க்கமே மோசமாக பாதிக்கப்படுகின்றனர். கொத்தடிமையாக இருந்து மீட்கப்பட்டவர்களில் 83% தலித் பழங்குடியினர் ஆவர். தொழில்நுட்ப புரட்சி கண்டுள்ள இந்த 21 ஆம் நூற்றாண்டிலும் இத்தகைய கொத்தடிமை சுரண்டல் முறை தொடர்ந்து இருப்பதற்கு காரணமே அரசு நேரடி பொறுப்பு ஏற்காமல் இருப்பதும், கொத்தடிமை ஒழிப்பு முறையை தீவிரமாக நடை முறைக்கு கொண்டுவராமல் இருப்பதும் தான் காரணம்.
