Using young children in school uniforms as political props for sit-ins and dramas is a direct violation of their rights. Let the kids be kids and keep them out of political theaters #LetThemLearn #ProtectOurYouth

Hyperliberals, please don't try and make mini activists out of your children!
I am so thankful my dad wasn’t trying to prove any points to himself or the world and just wanted to send my brother and me to the safest and best schools he could afford (which were not the best around and it tormented him that he couldn’t do more, so he taught us and our friends at home). He did this because he’d been forced into segregated, under-resourced schools before civil rights and knew you have one shot at an education and this isn’t a game.
Chaque initiative en faveur de l'éducation des filles Afghanes mérite d'être soutenue et encouragée

She’s in her 20s—but still in a school uniform in Tigray.
Not because she fell behind—
but because war and survival stole her time.
Up at 4am.
Hours walking for water.
Every single day.

"He met one woman, Hirit Hishe along with her family in #Tigray, in the country’s north. He said: “When we met, she was still in her school uniform, even though she was in her early 20s. “She told me she was still at school because her education had been so disrupted, partly because of the conflict that engulfed Ethiopia in the previous few years, but also because of the daily search for water. She was getting up every single morning at 4am and walking to go and get water. That could take up to five hours every day, just going to fetch water, she would go with her friends."

She dreams of becoming an astronaut, yet she says so innocently, “I might never get to go to school because I haven’t been allowed to study beyond sixth grade.”
Like millions of Afghan girls, she is denied her basic right to education. More than sixteen thousand days have passed, and she still waits for her chance to learn.
In the past week, individuals close to the Taliban have repeatedly reported my X account to silence it. As a result, I have lost nearly 200 followers.
We will not be silenced. We will continue to speak for girls’ education and human rights.
I ask you to stand with me. Your support can help save my X account and amplify the voices of millions who are denied human rights, education, and work, and who live under the harshest conditions. Even though I will never stop speaking, the Taliban and those close to them are trying to silence anyone who speaks about women’s rights, education, and human freedom. In recent weeks, my account has been repeatedly reported, and my followers are decreasing unnaturally. Supporting me means supporting human rights and giving strength to those whose voices the world needs to hear.

This video was sent to me by girl from Afghanistan. She says she just visited her school, a place she has been banned from for 1,644 days.
The empty walls and chairs felt like silent coffins. It made her cry. “I was prevented from learning because of my gender. I had big dreams.

One day I finally said, "Can you please stop giving me the answers, I want to figure it out myself."
After standing in the corner, I figured it out myself. 😆
