I always tell the story of returning to ๐จ๐ฆ, the single mother of a 1 yr old in a very cold February. I would bring a coffee & my kid to the library in #Saskatoon & I would cry - tired, broke, overwhelmed, lonely. There was no judgement, just space to be. #LibrariesAreCommunity
I was at my local library at 9.25 am today. There were 3 of us. One was, I suspect, homeless. The doors opened at 9.30, there was free tea & an inviting, half-completed jigsaw. The warm embrace of books. Smiling staff.
