@michaeljparr @OwenDeutsch It is interesting that the name of the island translates to “isle of parrots”, which make me wonder whether puffins were thought to be parrots, or whether the word “perroquet” has a meaning that relates to the shape/size of a bird’s bill, and applies to puffins. #linguistproblems
