Superintendent Hyatt set the tone: "This isn’t a program for some—it’s a system of college and career readiness for all."

@justinskycak Doesn't purposely making connections between the info being learned and other topics increase future remembrance?
I prefer to homeschool using #UnitStudies
#LinkedLearning rather than teaching subjects as mostly disconnected and supposedly separate.

Through the development of metal–organic frameworks, 2025 chemistry laureates Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson and Omar Yaghi have provided chemists with new opportunities for solving some of the challenges we face.
Following the laureates’ groundbreaking discoveries, researchers have created numerous different and functional metal–organic frameworks (MOF). So far, in most cases, the materials have only been used on a small scale. To harness the benefits of MOF materials for humanity, many companies are now investing in their mass production and commercialisation. Some have succeeded. For example, the electronics industry can now use MOF materials to contain some of the toxic gases required to produce semiconductors. Another MOF can instead break down harmful gases, including some that can be used as chemical weapons. Numerous companies are also testing materials that can capture carbon dioxide from factories and power stations, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Some researchers believe that metal–organic frameworks have such huge potential that they will be the material of the twenty-first century.

Here's a link to a list of vocabulary words related to trains. One of the ways we use such lists is my grandson quizzes me by reading words from list for me to spell and/or define.

Cool story about Pythagoras. He led a cult like society called the Pythagoreans, who believed that numbers revealed the structure of the universe. Apparently when Pythagoras or one of his students discovered a^2 + b^2 = c^2, he was so overwhelmed that he sacrificed an ox to the gods.
A tiny seedling. Weeks later, a huge pumpkin.
The seed carries its full potential within. It only needs the right conditions to realize it. The same is true for us.
Give yourself time, care, and the right conditions to realize all your potential.
Have a beautiful day☀️🧡

Martin Couney was never a doctor. He never held a medical license. He never even set foot in a medical school.
But he saved over 7,000 lives.
In the early 1900s, when the world saw premature babies as nature’s mistakes—too fragile, too hopeless—Couney saw something different: a future. While eugenicists said, “Let them die,” Couney insisted, “Let’s fight.”
So he put on a show.
On Coney Island, between the cotton candy stands and the ferris wheel, Couney displayed premature babies in incubators—right there, as part of an amusement park attraction. Because hospitals didn’t want these babies. Medicine ignored them. The only way to fund their care was through the price of admission, paid by curious visitors.
Inspired by what he saw at the Chicago World’s Fair—chicken incubators being used to warm tiny infants—Couney turned what many called madness into a miracle. He treated each baby with care, warmth, and dignity, all while the world watched.
What science refused, the sideshow embraced.
What the elite called a freak show, Couney turned into salvation.
By the time his “show” ended in 1943, nearly every hospital in America had adopted incubators for premature infants. The world changed because one so-called “imposter” dared to defy death—not with a degree, but with vision, courage, and a compassion for those the world wanted to forget.
Today, thousands are alive because Martin Couney believed every life was worth saving—even when no one else did.
