I went to #LOOPS22 with a genuine curiosity for all the different things my colleagues are doing, so many interesting new things to learn! The conference felt like a big family gathering, with old and new friends. We are all looking forward for #LOOPS24 at @FloridaAtlantic ๐

For the concluding session of #LOOPS22, I stepped out of my comfort zone: I sang ๐
๐ถBouncing cosmologies, gravitational ripples,
๐ถA nice power spectrum from polymerized peebles,
๐ถNo singularities, no need of strings,
๐ถThese are a few of my favorite things!

I am particularly grateful to Sebastian Steinhaus for speaking about inclusion and diversity in the closure of #LOOPS22. Sebastian mentioned some important themes such as representation and visibility of minorities in our community. His speech was touching ๐งก ๐ณ๏ธโ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐

It was amazing to close #LOOPS22 together with some of my favorite people in the community: Hal Haggard (@BardCollege), Sebastian Steinhaus (@UniJena) and Ed Wilson-Ewing (@UNBFMathStats).

Last plenary talk: ending #LOOPS22 with fireworks! Eugenio Bianchi explained how entropy is defined for constrained systems, in a way that works for diverse systems from the black body to black holes!

Muxin Han gave a marvelous talk about how the semiclassical approximation is related to complex saddle points and he presented the latest version of the amplitudes with the cosmological constant, that appears in a natural way and makes the amplitudes completely finite. #LOOPS22

Time flies when you are in good company! Itโs already the last day of #LOOPS22! The first plenary talk was by Cong Zhang (@uniwarszawski) on the matter coupling in LQG and how fermion doubling that appears in lattice gauge theories is avoided in LQG.

I provide an overview of my work (https://t.co/dM2CAd9cQa) relating scattering amplitudes to coherent intertwiners in one of the last parallel talks of #Loops22. Followed by a group photo with some of the highly talented young researchers who were in attendance.

The inimitable @FrancesVidotto tells us about "a few of her favourite things" in quantum gravity research at the conclusion of a wonderful week of #Loops22. Notice also the thematic (spin networky) pattern on her dress. Very cool ๐๐ฝ

Parallel sessions at #LOOPS22 continued till 6:30pm with talks spanning from mathematical physics to predictions for cosmology and black holes. A lot of great presentations by the younger researchers! In the pic: Lucรญa Menรฉndez-Pidal (@UniofNottingham).

As Bronstein Prize recipient, Daniele Pranzetti gave also a plenary talk at #LOOPS22, delving more into the issue of asymptotic symmetries introduced in the talks by Laurent Freidel and Miguel Campiglia. We are still there, standing on the shoulders of the great Emmy Noether!

The #LOOPS22 Bronstein Prize (https://t.co/u1ZuzsHZKs) was announced (with some theater by @carlorovelli) today and the winner isโฆ Daniele Pranzetti (@Perimeter & @Mariecurie_alum) ๐

.@DonaPietro gave an exciting talk at #LOOPS22 about the spinfoam amplitude numerics: an impressive progress since LOOPS19! Much of the development of the code is now done at @westernuPhysAst thanks to our fantastic graduate students and the resources of @ComputeCanada!

Javier Olmedo developed different prescriptions to describe the black hole interior working first with Ashtekar & Singh and with Gambini & Pullin. These works made stronger the case for a black-to-white transition in the interior of black holes. #LOOPS22

Chronicles from the fourth day of #LOOPS22: more on the recent clarification of the (absence of) flatness in the classical limit of the theory. Bianca Dittrich made it simple an clear in her model. Moral: the scaling of boundary data and the complexity of the graph go together.

#LOOPS22 conference dinner with the speeches by one local lyonnais (Laurent Freidel), one organizer (Simone Speziale) and one community senior (Abhay Ashtekar). I am a bit disappointed we did not have a speech by Jurek Lewandowski, a highlight of past LOOPS conference dinners ๐

The tradition has been respected: the #LOOPS22 football took place despite the heat. Here there are the last two teams that survived to the final (that ended with even score).
