A rant:
I'm getting really tired of seeing people moaning about the $RUNE price.
Attention drives prices and all the attention is on memecoins and Solana at the moment, not DeFi. Of course it's frustrating watching other tokens go up when yours doesn't, but that's part of the game. All of us are watching BTC rip ATHs while most are sidelined in alts that are still well below their previous ATHs (most of which will never recover).
Some holders now seem to believe the node operators are "greedy and evil" and that the devs aren't doing anything, but I don't remember hearing these complaints about the same people when $RUNE was at $10 in March - I wonder why. Thorchain is by no means perfect and constructive criticism/ feedback is absolutely essential for the future development of the protocol, but constantly crying about the price helps nobody.
And btw, $RUNE is still up 6.5x from the bottom, and was up over 13x at the top in March. Meanwhile,
$AAVE is up 3x and was up ~4x this cycle ATH
$LDO is up ~2x and was up 7x this cycle ATH
$UNI is up 2.4x and was up 4x this cycle ATH etc.
Away from the noise, the @THORChain and @ninerealms_cap devs have continued shipping.
Thorchain has secured integrations into major wallets and protocols including Ledger, OKX Wallet, BitGet and more. These businesses are now making MILLIONS via Thorchain swaps. This is the single best advert for other wallets to come onboard and I guarantee you they've taken notice. More will follow soon.
These integrations are pushing metrics to aths with fees and unique users both breaking aths last week. Thorchain is now a REVENUE GENERATING MACHINE and after the incentive pendulum fix LPs are now earning around 75% of these fees ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ
And don't forget that $RUNE is now a deflationary token with a burn on EVERY SINGLE SWAP ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅMeanwhile your favourite VC coins have billions of $ in unlocks coming to market over the next 12 months.
And don't forget, the future roadmap is hugely exciting. We've got integrations coming for the 2 hottest chains right now with Base coming in 2 updates time, followed by @solana EOY/early 2025. This will be followed by TON, TRON and many many more.
And to top it all off, Thorchain will become a proper L1 in January with the launch of an ENTIRE ECOSYSTEM of protocols built on top of it's liquidity, via @RujiraNetwork. This will not just be any ordinary L1. By having access to Thorchain's cross-chain liquidity, these protocols will be able to build products impossible to build elsewhere (E.g borrow stables on your favourite EVM chain against native BTC).
By my counting there are at least 18 protocols launching on Thorchain, ranging from core DeFi primitives like orderbooks and perps to NFT marketplaces and content creation platforms. ALL of which will generate fees for the core protocol. It will be a vertically integrated revenue printing machine.

Projects like @Maya_Protocol are providing real value.
There are other great projects but pick a value-centric project to get behind and be part of the change.
We're gonna build around what #mayachain is doing in any way we can.
But between #RWA, #DePIN and crosschain protocols (like $CACAO) there's a lot of quality to support.
Pick something being built that touches you beyond the gains of it and stack, promote and build.
You know i'm a very positive guy but i'm getting so mad at how everything is changing in crypto
I got into this industry when $BTC was just $165 and no one knew about it
And it was a better alternative to the traditional economic system
Now crypto has evolved and web3 can transform all areas of human endeavor
But instead, we are wasting Blockchain potential in just another way of gambling
Nobody wants to buy real value. If that was the case Cosmos would be thriving because i've never seen so much value packed into an ecosystem
But the problem isn't Cosmos. Is just that nobody is interested in it anymore
They just want to be sold a random narrative and expect prices to go up so they can make a quick buck
And that's why memes are thriving, because they are the purest crypto gambling experience
And don't get me wrong i don't have anything against memes
But i don't want the entire industry to be focused on just that when we have the opportunity to make the world a better place and actually provide value
Real adoption won't arrive until we fix this situation

Takeaways:
- All of these projects deserve our support (they are the ones bringing users/volume to $RUNE and $CACAO)
- If $GLD price simmers down after the bridge goes live this weekend, I would still HODL long term. They are the absolute kings of Inscription + it's a GameFi play + messaging + bridging (that might expand to other MRC20s) + whatever other based stuff Matt ships next. In the long term the next airdrop will be legendary (so make sure to BE in that ARB.GLD - CACAO LP).
- $LEO - Keep in mind LEO is also a $HIVE alt so you are getting love from both sides. On both the CACAO and HIVE side, earned fees will continue to deepen the liquidity in those pairs respectively. If you are bullish $HIVE or $CACAO then $5m mcap is a bargain when you consider the volumes that could end up flowing through the protocol.
- Its surprising to see BRO so low. @BrokkrFinance could really surprise us to the upside. Lets dig into that a bit ๐
- #BRO folk are smart, but they have so far failed to attract TVL (which currently sits below $100k) really to no fault of their own. The project was keyed up to take advantage of the relationship with $LUNA when that chain got irrevocably nuked with the $UST depeg.
- I love projects with low hanging problems that can be fixed. Their TVL can easily explode once they fix MESSAGING + finding their niche of vaults.
- My (albeit self-interested) hope for BRO is that they
1) find a way to add yield to the other alts discussed above.
2) then focus on COMPOSABILITY so that other DEVs can bring liquidity - like me for example who is going to build an index fund that will feature the above alts (as well as other Arbitrum offerings)
- Perhaps partner with based #arbitrum DEVs like @steadefi who can handle the lending & LYF aspects...
IN THE MEANTIME, I am going to be expanding my position to BRO/bBRO/etc
