At least one person has been killed and several others injured following clashes between rival pastoralists in the Xaafoodle area of Somalia’s Mudug region, according to local reports.
The fighting reportedly involved herders from the Puntland and Galmudug administrations.
Authorities have not released an official statement on the incident
Tensions between rival pastoralist communities in parts of Mudug have periodically escalated into violence, often driven by disputes over grazing land and water resources.
