3️⃣ Japan’s key inflation gauge, the Tokyo CPI, is set to be released. The previous reading showed a sharp rise, reinforcing rate hike expectations. Although the nationwide Mar CPI slowed, rice prices hit a 50-year high. However, with rising economic uncertainty, markets now expect the BoJ to delay a rate hike until Jul.

This week marks Super Central Bank Week, with rate meetings from the Fed, Bank of Japan, Bank of England, and Taiwan's central bank.
1️⃣ The U.S. Fed will hold a rate decision meeting. Feb inflation slowdown has raised expectations for rate cuts this year. Additionally, Feb retail sales will be released, with the previous data showing a significant miss and the largest drop in nearly 2 years. The market will also focus on housing starts and existing home sales.
2️⃣ The Bank of Japan will hold a rate decision meeting. Governor Kazuo Ueda hinted on the 13th that a rate hike discussion could happen in May. In addition, Feb trade balance, Jan industrial production, and Feb CPI will be announced. The previous CPI hit a 19-month high.
3️⃣ The Eurozone will release the final Feb CPI (Preliminary2.4%). On Mar 6th, the European Central Bank cut rates by 25 basis points and signaled that the rate-cutting cycle may be nearing its end, as inflation trends down and the economy gradually absorbs geopolitical shocks.
