I SEE MANY GREAT PLUGINS FOR WOOCOMMERCE. TREMENDOUS PLUGINS. BUT NONE TO DEAL WITH TARIFFS. VERY UNFAIR! SOMEBODY SHOULD BUILD IT. WOULD BE THE BIGGEST PLUGIN EVER. #MAKEWP GREATAGAI

@JosephaHaden Y’know, I have also found that to be the case. 🙃 My intention in posting here was to let people know, not discuss with project leadership. Hence no tags. That said, it would be *AWESOME* to discuss this at next week’s #MakeWP Marketing meeting, Tuesday @ 15:00 UTC.

In yet another #CoolThingsAboutWordPress moment, I am sitting in my living room on my phone at near midnight, chatting on Slack with a roomful of new contributors to the #MakeWP marketing team who are attending Contributor Day at @WCKathmandu, Nepal’s largest WordCamp. 🤩

As a team rep for the #MakeWP Marketing team, I am really struggling with this. If a volunteer contributor left the community we would acknowledge it openly, but with sponsored contributors it’s all shrouded in secrecy. Just this sad trail of unanswered tags.

I’ve been co-repping the #MakeWP Marketing Team for the past six months. Right now (and not without considerable effort!), there is actually a lot of interesting, non-busy, and actually impactful work to do via the Marketing Team for #WordPress, the open-source project.

@no_fear_inc @emiluzelac @photomatt @JosephaHaden And while, yes, ostensibly anyone can contribute, because we would want the fellowship to be meaningful and useful for all involved, the selection process for *any* plugin fellowship we develop would include the plugin team and work within the official #MakeWP process. 3/3
