Fact 3: The Balkan route was shut down from 8 March 2016. A week before the #MarchofHope, the state-facilitated transit route was closed following a public EU council statement. The data is clear: The border was completely sealed off. Not one refugee could register.
2016 - the 🇲🇰 border police kettled #MarchOfHope refugees and made them crawl back under the fence. The @ECHR_CEDH found that refugees bore responsibility for their pushback because they did not cross at an official border post. The facts show: Impossible. So why the injustice?
