I just upgraded my #MeBox to @OpenAI 's latest model gpt-4o. That upgrade was easy and fast - just a matter of changing one line in my configuration. That's another cool thing about the #MeBox: It gets smarter with new, smarter models while remembering all it has learnt so far.

I just extended the new vision feature to also work for questions to the "subject" of my #MeBox. Not sure how useful this is, but it's certainly cool! 😉

I just taught my #MeBox to use vision: Using the "Add Info" feature, my prototype now allows users to upload images, and the box can look at them and understand them and use them for higher quality answers. I will add vision-support at other places soon, but it's a nice start!

The #MeBox is multi-lingual: Chat with it in English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Hindi and many other languages - both in writing and using speech-to-text and text-to-speech.

You can chat with other people's #MeBox's, and other people can chat with yours - if you so wish. Using a blacklist/whitelist system, you have full control over who can chat with your box. And the box is careful with sensitive information about you.

I am particularly proud of the novel way the #MeBox learns about its "subject" - you can train it by simply talking about yourself, but it also comes up with interesting questions by itself to fill its knowledge gaps. Finally, you can give feedback to correct mistakes.

The #MeBox works with @OpenAI 's #ChatGPT 4 at the moment, but any large language model would do - the functionality is independent of the LLM.

Another useful thing the #MeBox can do: Check your email, prioritize it using the Eisenhower Matrix, summarize it, give bullet points of important information and suggest responses - all tailored to your personal preferences and style.
