Local Turkish merchant bar prices mostly rise in local currency Local Turkish official #merchantbar prices have risen by TRY 60-420/mt, with minor changes on US dollar basis, against the backdrop of the depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar and given the unclear financial situation in the country. One Iskenderun-based mill issued its official merchant bar price at TRY 13,950/mt ($682/mt) ex-works, rising by TRY 150/mt over the past week, while falling by $8/mt on US dollar basis.
