In Texas, you can vote by mail ONLY if you're old, (65 or older) sick, disabled, won't be here, about to give birth or you're in jail but can vote. Drop boxes are illegal. (I repeat, there are NO drop boxes in Texas) and YOU CAN NO LONGER DROP OFF YOUR BALLOT AT THE REGISTRAR'S OFFICE EXCEPT ON ELECTION DAY. You must show an acceptable ID, and you can’t deliver another person’s ballot. You can mail or ship it to the early-voting clerk anytime after receiving your ballot. What they did with it after that and who they applied the vote to is a whole different story. There is no easy way for the voter to verify any of this.
