After I was able to update my MacBook Pro (16", 2019), I could finally test #B3D's Metal implementation on a non Apple-Silicon Mac running an AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 4 GB. And the result make my Mac so much better.

I just can't stop those sub-polygon renderings. They've always fascinated me. All rendered with #b3d 3.1.0 Alpha and @Apple Metal support. All render times between 4-12 min. That's pretty dope for a M1 MacBook Pro 13'.

Another test on my M1 MacBook 13“.
Metal seems to be much more memory efficient.
The attached render took around 4 min 30sec. It’s a sub-polygon displacement with subsurface scattering and DOF. So, a lot is going on here. #b3d #metalGPU #Blender3d
