I'm reading Sam Storm's book right now, #TheRiseandFalloftheKansasCityProphets, and my question to Sam is, "Is Mike Bickle a Christian? If #MikeBickle is a Christian, then he believes that unrepentant, #sexuallydeviant people can be Christians.
If he says no, that he's not a Christian and cannot be a Christian, because unrepentant people who have been confronted and been excommunicated in practicality are not Christians. If he says yes Bickle is a Christian then that is the only way that Bickle could have prophesied, and had prophetic gifts.
Because it seems like he is saying that some of the #InternationalHouseofPrayer prophetic history, #prophets like Bickle, and others were legitimate, or there are some legitimate aspects to it.
If the IHOP Prophetic history has any legitimacy, that means that an unrepentant #sexualpredator is a Christian in Sam Storms mind. If that's the case, he believes that people who are unrepentant can be Christians. He must believe that Bickle is a Christian, in order for those prophecies to be legitimate.
If Bickle is not a Christian, then people who are not Christians cannot prophesy. Sam then believes that people who are not Christians have the gift of prophecy. But scripturally, we know that non-Christians do not have the #spiritualgifts.
Only Christians have the spiritual gifts that are distributed by the #HolySpirit as he wills to born-again Holy Spirit-indwelt believers. So, He's got to deal with that issue, and he's not. He's skirting around it.
If Storms says that Mike Bickle is a Christian, then he's got a big problem. If he says he's not a Christian, then you have to throw out all his prophecies as false prophecies because only Christians can have the spiritual gift of prophecy. Non-Christians cannot.
I will help Sam Storms with this conundrum. Mike is an unrepentant sexual predator and therefore he cannot be regenerate. cannot have the Holy Spirit of God living within him, therefore does not have the Holy Spirit gifts. If he does not have the Holy Spirit gifts, then he does not have the gift of prophecy. If he does not have the gift of prophecy, then he is not a prophet and therefore all his prophecies are false, he is finally and unequivocally a #falseprophet.
