When you get to read the old news about the immense torture of a prisoner Shri DAYA RAM released from paki jail (old newspaper cutting),
Makes me think about #Missing54 soldiers,
Also #CaptSanjeetBhattacharjee missing since 1997 and all #POWs , #MIA apprehended by pakis,
“जो लौट के घर ना आए,जो लौट के घर ना लाए”
We have kept them languishing on enemy soil😢.
Will we act now against this cruelty ?

He is one of the #missing54 POWs of 1971 war.
In 1971, they left 93000+
We left 50+
After a year, they managed all 93000+ to reach their homes.
Don’t even know if we as a nation are still waiting for our 50+ to come..
All those claiming to be the architects of #1971War should also be held accountable for #Missing54.

-On 20 April 1997, Capt Sanjeet Bhattacharjee of 7/8 GR was taken prisoner by #Pakistan forces while he was on a routine patrol in Bhuj, Gujarat
-As per reports he was taken to an interrogation Cell based on the skirts of Hyderabad/Karachi
-The Pakistani authorities failed to acknowledge the capture of Capt Sanjeet Bhattacharjee & even the GoI's actions are not very clear
-In 2022 GoI closed his file & declared him dead
-Officer's mother, Kamla Bhattacharjee is running from pillar to post to get justice for her son
-Mothers sacrifice their sons so that #India can sleep well at night, but this is a slumber & couldn't careless attitude
He now appears only on #Missing54 list and we forgot him conveniently.
But family won’t forget.

Govt of #India celebrated 54 years of victory over pakistan, felicitated war veterans, but at the same time conveniently forgot #Missing54 , abandoning the Heroes who went #MIA , who are kept as POW in enemy land since 1971.
Do missing soldier of the nation have any rights ? The Soldiers who takes oath to think about "Country" first fails to avail the basic right of identity and dignity.
Did we ever think about the immense torture our soldiers must have gone through? They have been languishing in paki jail on the hope of getting released soon, but how soon?
The families they left behind wouldn't have been able to sleep for years, may be thinking about their loved ones.
The parents, wife, children had to celebrate the festivals without their loved ones. Few parents have passed away in the hope, after trying hard to bring back their son's back to the soil.
The families have visited paki jails few times, they have ran from pillar to post for last 54 years meeting every govt officials in hope but none of the successive governments have tried hard enough.
There are letters, petitions, reminders sent to the Army Command, Defence Ministry, Prime Ministers, Presidents but to our dismay very disappointing response.
India released 93000 POW's on the humanitarian ground, we signed Geneva Agreement.
The government claims that pakistan has consistently denied the existence of any #PoWs, therefore they can’t do much about it, despite knowing the facts, that they are there waiting on HOPE.
They have not shared reasons for refusing to approach the International Court of Justice and making use of Geneva Conventions.
we are dependent on bureaucrats politicians and have followed every possible procedure yet #Missing54 remain neglected and we have denied their existence, wiped them off the motherland.
The families of those #Missing54 have every right to know about their loved ones if they are alive, where are they ? If dead, where is his grave ? the remains ? were they given proper funeral ?
They deserve CLOSURE on the issue.
We countrymen also have abandoned our own Brothers. Left them rotting suffering, in pain, leading them to a slow death.
