Moneyview IPO at ₹34: cheap fintech or leveraged lending story? It’s the ₹5,485 Cr borrowing. Moneyview is a digital financial services and lending platform. In simple terms, it connects customers with loans and other financial products through banks, NBFCs and other financial partners. Personal loans are its flagship business. Moneyview operates as a Lending Service Provider (LSP), while its own NBFC subsidiary, Whizdm Finance (WFPL), also lends directly to customers. Its platform offers: • Personal Loans • Credit Cards • Home Loans • Loan Against Property • Earned Wage Access • Insurance • Digital Gold • UPI & Bill Payments As of June 2026: Registered Users: 14.03 crore Monetised Users: 1.19 crore Financial Partners: 48 Managed AUM: ₹22,520 crore IPO Details 💰 Price Band: ₹32–34 Upper Band: ₹34 Fresh Issue: ₹750 crore Total IPO Size: ~₹1,092 crore Fresh issue utilisation: 👉 ₹325 crore — to drive growth in loan disbursals under DLG arrangements 👉 ₹250 crore — investment in WFPL to strengthen its capital base 👉 Balance — General Corporate Purposes Important: The IPO proceeds are NOT primarily being used to repay debt. The company is raising capital mainly to expand its lending business. Financial Performance 📈 Revenue from Operations FY24: ₹1,342 crore FY25: ₹2,339 crore FY26: ₹3,351 crore Q1 FY27: ₹1,041 crore PAT FY24: ₹171 crore FY25: ₹240 crore FY26: ₹243 crore FY26 PAT before exceptional items was approximately ₹397 crore. Loan disbursals grew from ₹17,621 crore in FY25 to ₹23,099 crore in FY26 — ~31% growth. Major Risk Factors ⚠️ The biggest risk is credit quality. Gross Stage 3 Loans: FY24: 0.94% FY25: 1.88% FY26: 2.74% June 2026: 2.72% At the same time, impairment expense increased: FY24: ₹253 crore FY25: ₹668 crore FY26: ₹984 crore Impairment / Average AUM: 2.46% → 4.51% → 5.16% So credit losses need to be watch Why is borrowing so high? As of June 2026: Borrowings: ₹5,485 crore On-book loans: ~₹5,379 crore Cash & equivalents: ~₹1,342 crore Net worth: ₹2,415 crore Approximate Debt/Equity = 2.27x Why? Because Moneyview is increasingly becoming a balance-sheet lending business. WFPL borrows money → lends it to customers → earns interest income → pays interest on borrowings → keeps the spread. Debt securities accounted for around 66% of borrowings as of June 2026. The company had 50 debt partners, including 17 banks. Positives ✅ • Strong revenue growth • Loan disbursals growing rapidly • 14+ crore registered users • 48 financial partners • Managed AUM of ~₹22,520 crore • Growing monetised user base • Technology/AI-driven underwriting • Multiple financial products • Diversified funding sources • Loan margin improved from 7.48% in FY24 to 8.55% in FY26 Negatives ❌ • Impairment expense has increased sharply • Stage 3 loans have increased materially • Credit-cycle risk • DLG exposes Moneyview to a portion of credit losses • Top 10 financial partners contributed 39.02% of Q1 FY27 revenue • IPO money is largely going toward lending growth rather than debt repayment Final Take At ₹34, I find the growth + lending story interesting, while the leverage and credit risks need to be monitored carefully. I think the valuation is reasonable relative to the listed peer P/E range I AM APPLYING FOR THIS IPO. 🚀 This is my personal analysis, only for educational purposes, not a guarantee of listing gains or future returns. #MoneyviewIPO #IPO #stockmarket
