This month, the #MorolesLibrary celebrates Native American Heritage Month. Books and displays highlight multiple Indigenous groups and people from the past and present. Students were excited to use these beautiful bookmarks. P.S. don't you just love the "Book Suggestion Book". We use it to help build our collection.

Part 2 of the #MorolesLibrary's Book Buddy Program was a smashing success. Buddies read books together, completed Halloween themed reading comprehension activities, created masks, and checked out new books. The weather was gorgeous and students had an amazing time. Thanks again to Ms. Whitacre and her 8th grade students for taking on this leadership role on our campus. And thanks to Mrs. Rojas, Ms. Smith, Ms. Diaz, and Mrs. Ortiz and their classes for participating in this event. This week, the #MorolesLibrary concluded Hispanic Heritage Month with interactive read alouds for ¡Leamos Juntos! - Let's Read Together. Grades 3-5 read Lola Out Loud and learned how Dolores Huerta stood up for what she believed in. Grades PreK-2 enjoyed Federico and the Wolf to get into the Halloween spirit. Students worked on their verbal fluency skills, vocabulary recognition, and interpersonal communication skills. The day was filled with laughter, learning, and literacy.
