What a joy it was to be able to jog 10K again last night, after years! More so with no aches or pains this next morning, even if the run was not as slow as I would have wished.¹ ² ¹ Look up the merits of "slow running." ² Regardless: #MoveTheBody

I jogged more last week—8.3 km/5.2 mi, over 3 evenings—than in all of 2023. It's good to be able to experience the joy of running again, unhindered by knee pain. (The knees paid the price for my rushing to squat with heavy weights again in late '22.) #MoveTheBody #PaceYourself

I am glad I did a great deal of moving around yesterday (see pic), including a slow, hour-long 5K & a few long walks. (How quickly sleep hit me!) Intense work days last week snapped the momentum, and I suppose others out there could benefit from this nudge: #MoveTheBody

Well I did two slow jogs on the treadmill this week and both went well. Today I walked for 2 hours at the velodromes indoor walking/running track. Not too bad, I say! #running #walking #movethebody #fitness #health
