Before you is a painterly view of #Muynak in the late 1970s, a time when the town was still a major fishing and processing center of the #AralSea region. On the artist’s canvas, the port line comes to life: wooden boats rock on the waves, a row of warehouses and industrial buildings stretches along the shore, and ships can be seen in the distance.
Matevosyan conveys not only the architectural and natural details, but also the atmosphere of the place – alive, filled with the sound of the wind, the splash of water, and the bustle of work. Today, this painting is not merely a landscape but a visual memory of a bygone era and the maritime history of the region.
