You can tell how committed your union is to confronting white supremacy by how many white members decline nominations to the executive so that BIPOC can take leadership roles.
Right out of the condescension, obfuscating handbook:

@OSSTFD19 must recognize that they need to figure out how to fund all 8 positions. Putting the focus on these 3 positions is a tactic.

In June we passed motions mandating change. One of those motions resolved that D19 would enter into exploration with our employer and provincial to find ways to fund new positions. This letter indicates those explorations were cursory at best, non existent, or worse, harmful.
