@AZNBCTNetwork A1: I've collected work samples, exit tickets, anecdotal notes, conversations. Ss also progress monitor & engage in data talks where we look @ worthwhile goals we've set & look to see where they are. In those talks we come up with strategies to help them reach their goal.

A2: This is seen through the delicate dance of instruction. As Ts, we need to be able to articulate to anyone at any time, why we make the decisions made in our classrooms. When we can do that, we show teaching is not something just ANYONE can do, but an art, a profession. #NBNow

Knowledge of students is the foundation for everything. My favorite thing right now is reading conferences. 📚 Ss choose a book to read independently, and I confer with them individually and coach them to develop Qs and things to look for to help them grow as readers. #NBNow
