Station 46029 is operational! Buoy technicians from @NOAAโs National Data Buoy Center serviced the weather buoy overnight, restoring marine observations in a crucial waterway near the mouth of the Columbia River.

#DYK our team has passed through the #PanamaCanal twice this mission season? Over the holiday weekend our Gulfport team went through to head to San Diego, and prior to that our first crew of the season went in March. They even snapped some pics! #FromTheField #NDBCAtSea
There it goes! Our buoys are moored, meaning they have anchors to keep them in place. Anchor deployments are fast, & potentially dangerous, so our buoy technicians are specially trained to stay out of the way to make sure they donโt go down with it. #NDBCAtSea #FromTheField #FYI
