#NAVDY can no longer search! But you can use Apple Maps to search, then share to yourself via email, then copy to contacts. Then you can search within the NAVDY app for that place!!!

I have written to Martin Pichinson from Sherwood Partners, and sugested a crowdfunding campain to buy the #Navdy software and release it as open source on Github. If that happens, we can find a developer who can modify the software to operate without the shutdown Navdy server.

@navdyInc #Bankrupt! What an abortion. Ordered and waited over a year and a half. Now after an expensive purchase and less than 2 years the company #Navdy is out of business and will soon stop working.

@eiddor @navdyInc Yes that is true. But if you have the source code, you can change the service address and setup a new service, and perhaps implement an option to pull Google maps from the phone (costs data). And Apple fixed my #Navdy as well, with their latest iOS update.

To @navdyInc Would it be possible to buy the #Navdy source code to release on GitHub? What amount would we be talking about? I think of creating a new crowd funding project, to buy the source code. Why don't you ask existing owners, if we would like to buy the software?

Anyone have source code for Navdy or know how to jail break? Great device, shame they are going out of business. Hope they open source the code so we can keep our devices alive. #navdy
