A weekend #BeachFind from #Samson #Scilly 🐚 Pretty sure this is the egg collar of a #MoonSnail, aka #NecklaceShell, but not 100% sure & if so what species? 🐚 Any ideas #Twitter #HiveMind? 🐚 #MarineBiology #BareFootBeachFind2022 #Nature #VitaminSea

Quite a few of these #necklaceshell egg collars washing up at the moment. They're often mistaken for litter. Advice is that they should either be put back in the sea or buried in sand close to the water's edge. Each contains tens of thousands of eggs.

We're still bumping into people who are putting these #necklaceshell egg collars into their rubbish bags, thinking they're litter. Advice is that they should be put back in the sea or buried in sand close to the water's edge. Each contains tens of thousands of eggs. #moonsnail

We bumped into someone yesterday who had filled a bag with these #necklaceshell egg collars, thinking they were litter. Advice is that they should either be put back in the sea or buried in sand close to the water's edge. Each contains tens of thousands of eggs. #moonsnail
