“I think someone said to me that their daughter was trialling for Mini Mavs. I was like, 'Oh what's that?' I didn't even know what Mavericks was or anything, and then just came to a game. And then saw an advert to volunteer at match days, so I did that, and England Netball at the same time. The kids were starting to grow up and I wanted to do something for me. I realised how much I loved netball and how much it had changed. I like giving back. I don't know why. I actually don't know why. I like people to, I suppose, to feel happy with what l've done and to feel like l've contributed. I'd rather give than take.
