You can see how things tightened up for the top teams as things got tougher towards the end of the pool matches and into the finals/medal matches

Only two teams managed to increase their goals during the super shot period (fever and tbirds) with everyone bar tbirds accuracy decreasing.
So, the risk is not worth the reward suggested by reduced accuracy and reduced total goals

Had a look at where the most successful place to shoot was. Table 1. shows that those long range shots have caused a decrease in shooting percentages. So is the Super Shot worth it?
So you can frame your analyses around any of these factors to examine shooting performance in the last few years of SSN

My submission for #NetballNumbers is a bit of a statistical one. I wanted to look at how long players typically spend on court and how that changed since the split of ANZ to SSN. The good news is I can do both with a cumulative density function like the one below 🧵

Spent some time between @GeelongNetball stats working on some #NetballNumbers stats. Mainly looked at finals and those who played the most per team but threw in the team finals time as well. @MelbourneVixens colours because of course.

Really neat #NetballNumbers analysis by @Jess_M_Currie. Interesting how looking at a simple stat like finals played clearly highlights the big names and dynasties over the competitions years
This table shows the Top 5 Players of the ANZC/SSN era, ranked by finals matches played. There's 11 in that top '5', but whatever (secondary-sorted by finals minutes played).
Had a few mins between things today and took a 👀 at Aaron's latest #NetballNumbers dataset: 'Who do you play for?'. Mine isn't sophisticated analysis by any means, but it sure throws up a THOUSAND fascinating talking points re successful finals clubs/players/coaches/networks.
