@mattzollerseitz Big fan of watching Blu rays of vintage Tv shot on 35mm. Star Trek, Twilight Zone, Batman, Time Tunnel, Thunderbirds, Space:1999, Outer Limits, they all look literally better than ever now, they were made to look as good as possible, beyond the quality an old Tv could handle.
Heat-wave binge-watch: DEPARTMENT S, RANDALL & HOPKIRK (DECEASED), and the Linda Thorson AVENGERS. Fun. Not first-rate shows, but since the color & production design are their strongest elements they get a tremendous boost from Blu-ray and OLED. Presentation matters! #NeverStream

I can completely understand filmmakers taking a devil's bargain if that seemed like the only way to get a passion project made, but Satan's here to collect and they knew it was going to happen. Nobody saw those movies, and now it's harder for everybody.
It’s funny how the model that worked for them was to pay name directors big money to make their passion projects which could only be viewed on their platform and they concluded that audiences want them to make lots and lots of sparkly garbage.
