The PLS is what's to blame - which affected the main decisions of the league.
If the USSF PLS were not in place, then the NASL would be in a much better position today as a national pro league.

The Italian football league system has nine levels all with pro/rel. It comprises almost 600 divisions and over 3300 clubs.
