Spicy take but I kinda feel white folk citing performance issues for firing BIPOC should be treated guilty (or suspect) til proven innocent. It’s not witch-hunting individuals but quite the opposite—accounting for the larger systems that shape & socialize us #NotMyCrisisTextLine
Also @TheVerge , the real journalistic opportunity is exploring how firing BIPOC folks for “performance issues” is just disciplining BIPOC kids in schools for “disruptive behavior” wearing business casual. These are “colorblind” racialized tropes #NotMyCrisisTextLine
