The @Telegraph chose the 29th anniversary of Diana’s death to float naming an airport after Camilla.
Not a coincidence. A test.
Camilla was the 3rd person in that marriage. Diana said it herself.
The affair, the humiliation, the years of it being an open secret while the Palace and papers managed the story, that is the record.
Dressing it up now as lasting recognition and comparing her to Dolly Parton is not honour. It is image laundry on the exact date the public still associates with the woman she displaced.
This is how the monarchy and its preferred media still operate: pick the rawest day, reframe the other woman as national treasure, and dare people to object.
