The whole point of e2e encryption is so that no one can compromise the security of a specific user. Pakistan's or any country's human right laws has nothing to do with that. Governments are always going to be anti-privacy. There's no way to force Notesnook except maybe to shutdown. We are open source. We are 100% transparent about our processes. Anyone can verify what we do and how we do it. The servers are zero knowledge dumb machines that only handle data blobs. They don't know anything outside of that. So even if we add all sorts of invasive logging, we still can't read your notes. No one can except you. Even if the government hacks us or forces us we can only expose your email address. That's the only piece of information we have on file. Everything else is encrypted. We don't trust governments any more than you. Be it Pakistan's government or somewhere else. With all that being said, if something like that does happen we'll immediately relocate. Our servers and user data is already outside Pakistan so we are not really in any danger, but if we do feel a threat we'll relocate or find a way out that doesn't compromise our users' privacy in any way.
