Just a reminder...for all those who think the DXY can no longer rally bc most rate hikes are now behind us...the DXY rose more in 2014-2015 when there were zero rate hikes...as it did in 2021-2022 when there were several rate hikes.

If...Treasury initiates buy back program funded by bill issuance & equity markets view it as form of QE & rally as result...the Fed will have succeeded in raising rates 4% without a meltdown in Stock market...something very few thought even remotely possible.

When Powell sees stocks rise 2-3% on day (5-6% from overnight lows to levels higher than last Fed meeting) after reporting abysmal earnings, does he think to himself โrate hikes have done a great job of taking froth & speculation out of the market, this is good place to stop.โโฆ?
