Someone in the comments section of @SkippyTheRobot's most recent breakdown wanted an AMV for the Scabbards/Mulan mash-up. I'm here to oblige, and Oden's here to make a man out of you. #OnePiece #OPRewatch #MakeAManOutOfYou

Back on Aug 21, 2018, @SkippyTheRobot & I began #OPRewatch. Tonight, 2 years to the day, our journey to catch up is over -- for now -- w/ Ep 937. It's hard to overstate just how much #OnePiece has grown from its beginnings. (Also, #OPRewatch began & ended w/ Hisada eps #irony)

The worst thing to come out of the anime's Reverie adaptation isn't the endless flashbacks, the stiff movement or the lack of any real directorial weight. No, THIS is the worst thing. Left is Noboru Koizumi from 278. Right is some atrocity from 886. #OPRewatch @SkippyTheRobot

It's not often that an animator gets the chance to redo a scene that really kicked off their career, so seeing Katsumi Ishizuka reanimate his Luffy VS Crocodile finisher with his more modern Yutapon inspired style shows just how far he's come as an animator #OPRewatch

With absolutely fantastic direction, composting and storyboard from Komaki that makes Big Mom's musical feel extremely larger than life, Yoshikazu Tomita's lively character acting gets pushed to the absolute top of what it can do #OPRewatch

Katsumi Ishizuka jumps quickly from #870 to #872 to deliver a satisfying punch to Pekoms' Sulong form that feels extremely modern and makes Oven look cool at the same time, showing just how much inspiration he was starting to take around this time #OPRewatch

After doing a cool action scene in #870 that wasn't quite as long as the rest of the bunch, Takumi Yamamoto lightens up a rather dull episode with some nice character acting that I absolutely appreciate #OPRewatch

It's an episode that I've appreciated every little bit of since it first aired and I was freaking out while watching it. It's an absolute achievement for the anime in every facet and part of the steps that were taken to bring the anime to where it is now in Wano #OPRewatch

I've talked about #870 a lot, so I think for this time around I can just link the breakdown that @DesuRachel and I put together a few months ago. I'm really happy with how it turned out and it explains just why the episode is like nothing else https://t.co/O6SyycH8ev #OPRewatch

Ishizuka + Tu = an amazing scene that still stands as one of the best scenes from both respective animators #OPRewatch
