On Tuesday, 5 Buddies became animators! They worked in small groups to devise and create a short film using play dough and stop motion - one team were particularly inspired by the colour of their play dough! 🎥🎬 #OakyComputing

In computing 2SCatkins learned about algorithms and had fun making our own. We imagined we were dinosaurs in a game and thought about what actions we could do, and what the controls might be. Then we played the game being dinosaurs carrying out the actions! 🦕#OakyComputing

Whilst the children went to the museum, in school we researched and created presentations on the Chromebooks about the legacies left behind by the Ancient Greeks. Then in the afternoon, we created artwork based on the Parthenon. #oakyhistory #oakyart #oakycomputing

2Catkins have started investigating Data Handling in ICT and we have already found what a useful tool it can be! We looked at different ways of recording information including tallys, numerals, dienes, and counters, and we thought tallying worked best. #OakyComputing

In #OakyComputing , we were able to test out ‘loop’ in our algorithms. We had to use our debugging skills and resilience to solve some of the problems on Coding for Carrots! 🥕

In #OakyComputing we began writing our own algorithms. After testing them out, we realised that we could make our specific instructions more efficient by using a loop.
