Top Tweets for #OffTvPlay
@APotossakis @DarkFury1424 It’s literally just a portable display for the console though. There’s nothing that needs to be handled- just like #OffTVPlay on Wii U, the OS handles DisplayPort over 5Ghz radios.
Portal just has more lag.
@APotossakis @YoshiCookie Yes, they CONTINUED to market Wii U having #OffTVPlay, thus the hashtag and several dubstep ads literally hammering the point home that you don’t need a TV to play it:

@APotossakis @YoshiCookie #OffTvPlay wasn’t a “bonus”, it was legitimately the VERY FIRST THING Nintendo showed during Wii U’s reveal during E3 2011. It was obviously a focus for the machine.

Remote Play on PS5 works real good. With a good connection and the Dualsense connected via Bluetooth, pretty good secondary gaming. Currently playing Demons Souls in bed on my iPhone. #PS5
MASTERFUL marketing here.
This is what most haters don’t get as far as the appeal of this #9thGeneration console.
The sad part is this same #OffTVPlay pitch would’ve worked wonders for Wii U when MarioKart 8 launched. https://t.co/fOa6gXis6B
I imagine it, then I realize I’m sacrificing dual screen just so I can have the same #OffTVPlay experience I already have on #WiiU
@Ruleof2Review @VCiPz Pretty much. I started off using mostly docked, then I started using the console like I do Wii U- if I get can’t get alone time on the TV, I can still rock #OffTVPlay🙃
@Mizzah_Tee @TerminatorJuice LOL I was just playing this game in bed myself since I haven’t gotten all the stickers yet...😁 #OffTVPlay
People often forget that #WiiU was #VirtualConsole on steroids:
-GameCube (New Play Control) eShop
-NES/SNES/N64/Neo-Geo/TG-16/Master System/Genesis/C64/MSX/Arcade
-Converted games from Wii VC supported #OffTVPlay
-GB/GBA/DS
Short of Game Gear support, you could get no better.
That’s how I feel if #XenobladeChroniclesX is ported.
It’ll be great more people get to play it, but personally dual screen>>>>> taking the game out of the house.
When I use #OffTVPlay it seems doable, but nothing like the full experience pictured below.
I know this will be a HOT TAKE, but here it is:
Ports of Wind Waker HD or Twilight Princess HD to the Switch wouldn’t be considered “Wii U ports” to me.
Without the dual-screen support of the Wii U and the gamepad I can only see them as HD ports from the Gamecube and/or Wii.
The Wii U Firmware Has Been Updated To Version 5.5.4 https://t.co/haK5MeTEik
So I had a #ShadowCast planned last night, but I’m so hooked on grinding #MortalKombat11 currency that I completely lost track of time..🙃
Really digging this one #NintendoSwitch #OffTVPlay
@nbh1883 Makes sense- this is literally what Nintendo did, and all the Wii U haters fell for it hook, line, and sinker.
#OffTVPlay and #WiiU all over again, only this time developers are FORCED to support it because PROFIT
Playing some Yoshis Crafted World on my break. 💚
Starting today, you can stream your favorite PS4 games to your iOS devices with the PS4 6.50 update! Download the PS4 Remote Play app from the App Store to get started. https://t.co/65I0fNupP5
So after a quick discussion, I decided to run through the #OffTVPlay hashtag, and man, the main reason a lot of you bought #NintendoSwitch is the SAME reason you should’ve bought #WiiU.
@NGametalk Yeah 480p isn’t ideal, but not as bad as I thought it would be when I first used #OffTVPlay.
Hard to go back to it after 720p on Switch, but then Xenoblade 2 still drops to 360p on mobile as well.
