Yesterday, in a strong show of unity and a carnival-like atmosphere, I joined our esteemed party members under the aegis of the Saadudeen Salaudeen Vanguard (SSV), to welcome scores of PDP defectors from the Alawo-Kekere zone during their weekly meeting at my home base in Ibagun Ward, Ilorin East LGA. In my remarks, I reaffirmed that our great party, the APC, under the leadership of His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, remains united and focused on an issue-based campaign anchored on the administration’s impressive track record in road infrastructure and social investment programmes. I assured the new entrants of equal representation and urged them to intensify grassroots mobilisation and door-to-door engagement in support of our candidacy and all APC flagbearers—from the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to our APC Governorship Candidate, Rt. Hon. Engr. Salihu Yakubu-Danladi, at the 2027 polls. It was heartwarming to see our people trouped out in large numbers to welcome us as I toured my home base from Amule to Sefura and Ode-Asude before concluding with a courtesy visit to our father, the Alangwa of Ibagun, Alhaji Sakariyau Ilufemiloye, where I received his royal blessings. I also spent quality time with the Iyaloja of Kankatu Market, Alhaja Taiye Baraje, and members of the Kankatu Okada Riders Joint Zone. AO
