@Aviation_Intel An American question Tyler is, if we're going to resume this war with #Iran in light of the #OperationSpiderweb precedent for proxy attacks on nuclear-capable bombers, why isn't the #USAF building shelters hardened against drone attacks from @Whiteman_AFB to @RAFMildenhall?🤔
@Trianonwasbad @RobboLaw The number of destroyed bombers in #OperationSpiderweb was exaggerated and many of the #TU95 airframes damaged or written off were about as old as the #B52 bomber that just went down at #EdwardsAFB. But there are many rungs on the escalation ladder vs @NATO ahead before nukes fly

So many mission critical enablers, parked out in the open in nice neat rows. It's almost as if the lessons of Ukraine aren't being learned at all... #OperationSpiderweb
📍MacDill AFB, #UnitedStates (🇺🇸)
We have an update for MacDill AFB tanker counts, with now a total of 28(!) KC-135 Stratotankers deployed at the base.
Back in October I had identified 15 units deployed at the base + the pair of E-3s; significant jump in unit numbers.

@clashreport @CPdM21 Wait! You mean the 🇷🇺 FSB had the very 🇺🇦 agents who coordinated #OperationSpiderWeb under custody, interrogated them for several hours and then ...set them free?
Can it get any better than this?
When Ukraine's daring #OperationSpiderweb launched in June 2025, author and military historian Damien Lewis immediately saw echoes of WWII SAS missions🕸️

New #SWJEssay: Cheap Drones, Priceless Targets: Fortifying America’s Bomber Fleet

"In June of 2025, Ukraine’s #OperationSpiderweb proved that 117 cheap drones were sufficient to cripple a third of Russia’s bomber fleet overnight. Ukraine’s massive operational success underlined a simple fact: the logic of previous aircraft basing no longer holds.
ㅤㅤ ㅤ
Remoteness is no longer as effective a shield as once thought, and threats towards high-value assets can come in the form of small drones and large, expensive missiles. What was once efficiency is now complacency, and the U.S. Air Force needs to learn from the mistakes of our adversary to minimize the risk of a strike that could cause irreparable damage to the U.S. bomber fleet. Solutions to this problem exist, and if implemented by the United States, can provide increased resiliency to our strategic assets in the 21st century."

"How did a single drone video reshape global perceptions of a modern conflict❓ In 2025, Ukraine’s #OperationSpiderweb showcased the power of transparency, releasing real-time footage of strikes on Russian bomber bases, captivating audiences and exposing adversary weaknesses.
In contrast, the India–Pakistan air skirmish, sparked by a terrorist attack in #Jammu and #Kashmir, fueled confusion through unverified claims and disinformation, with Pakistan’s exaggerated reports of downed Indian jets amplifying mistrust. These events offer contrasting case studies in managing wartime narratives, verifying claims, and engaging diverse audiences.
The 2025 #India–#Pakistan skirmish and Operation Spiderweb highlight the critical role of strategic communication in modern conflicts, where #drones, social media, and open-source intelligence (#OSINT) shape outcomes.
This analysis explores impacts on domestic publics, international allies, media, policymakers, military stakeholders, and adversaries, underscoring how technology, transparency, and disinformation influence conflict dynamics and global perceptions."

❗️The scale of the team involved in the Security Service of Ukraine's operation "Spiderweb".
Almost all the people involved, in particular, those who manufactured the drones, developed the "houses" for them, were involved in communications and logistics - until the last moment they did not know why they were doing it.
The UAVs themselves, which flew out of the trucks, were controlled by the best operators of the Security Service of Ukraine, who were gathered at the control point only at 5 am, on the day of the operation. None of them knew why they were going to Kyiv (some were called directly from the front). For security reasons, everyone's phones were also taken away.
