Today in Presbyterian History: 50th anniversary of First General Assembly of the National Presbyterian Church convened in Birmingham, Alabama, with 208 Ruling Elders & 179 Teaching Elders present. A year later, the name was changed to the Presbyterian Church in America. #PCA50
