Thoughts after the #PCPLD2020 webinar today - the DisDAT can clarify how distress is communicated and help rationalise onward referrals/ advocate for further investigations to find out 'what's wrong'. This can be part of the hospital passport!
I've used the #DisDAT for years even before I became a nurse, it's really useful to evidence when someone just isn't feeling themselves #PCPLD2020 I think everyone should have one!

Two very different case studies where #DisDAT was used to gain knowledge about distress.
Results from both sets of assessments indicated a definite pattern to both Freddie and Betty’s pattern of distress.

Often, pain scale tools are used for individuals displaying distress...but what if that isn’t pain?
What alternative tools could health care professionals use to document distress, compare with content behaviour and see if there is a pattern to the distress?
