The RIM loader is part of the boot process for a #pdp8 and #pdp12. It preps the machine to read tape. Instructions are 12 bits, written as 4 octal values each. This can be a major scale (0 = C, 7 = high C, etc.). Enjoy. https://t.co/FoDYImiZqM #retrocomputing #umdpdp12
Here's a #DEC M222 flipchip (revision B). It's a slice of the #LINC tape register (the #PDP12 has 6 of these cards). This is a "double-height" card in DEC parlance (i.e., two chips side by side), and, as @Michael26413485 said, they do take a while to test! https://t.co/Paa3XlW1WE
