I agree. There are a wide variety of coaching options that coaches can indeed should use. There is NO one way. Hence #PJDM and #itdepends. Context and rationale are key, which is why “do it this way” is often inappropriate advice, even when we’ll intentioned

Technique becomes a skill when performed under pressure. You can not teach/develop techniques by playing games. Isolate, progress, apply pressure.

Absolutely. HOWEVER, that social inetraction is not always yummy and friendly, at least as perceived at the time. Remember that, when it's needed, your real friends stab you in the belly, not in the back! Knowing the why as well as the when, what and how is the key. #PJDM

@LeighM05 I think it is so tough to reduce the many things that make a good coach into a short response. I wonder if the answer is best given by every athlete.
Sorry to be picky but “it depends”. Different methods are good for different outcomes. Therefore be sure on what you want in deciding what to do #PJDM

That is true BUT you might want to master the movement separately to the stimulus and decision making. All approaches have a place…the craic is selecting the right approach for the desired focus. #PJDM
